NSF CERTIFIED: SIMPLECOAT'S COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

In a continued commitment to the safety of your home and family, SimpleCoat is proud to announce that we are now registered by NSF International (National Sanitation Foundation), a highly respected, global organization that raises the bar for public health standards and provides certifications for products that help protect people and the environment. Using SimpleCoat means you get the glossy, fingerprint-free stainless steel and gleaming stone countertops you desire while prioritizing the health and safety of you, your family and the environment.

WHO IS NSF INTERNATIONAL?

Since 1944, NSF International’s mission has been to protect and improve global human health. The organization develops public health standards and certification programs that help protect the world’s food, water, consumer products and environment. They have a professional staff of engineers, microbiologists, toxicologists, chemists and public health experts that provide rigorous testing and analysis of products in 180 countries across all major industries. The NSF mark (now proudly stamped on SimpleCoat bottles) helps us let customers know SimpleCoat is safe to use on surfaces that make direct contact with food.

WHY DOES USING NONTOXIC PRODUCTS AROUND FOOD MATTER?

If you are familiar with SimpleCoat, you know we spend a lot of time talking about the porosity of surfaces, particularly natural stone surfaces commonly used as kitchen countertops. Surfaces like granite and marble can hold bacteria and cleaning product residue due to the pores within their surfaces that can only be seen by a microscope. Food and other organic products are also porous and can often absorb or be contaminated by common household products that leave behind residue containing toxic chemicals such as ammonia, bleach, and volatile organic compounds or VOCs. These chemicals can not only cause irritation, respiratory illnesses, and poor air quality but can also produce small levels of poison when ingested.

HOW CAN YOU PREVENT FOOD CONTAMINATION?

You can prevent food contamination by staying vigilant about avoiding the use of toxic chemicals when cleaning surfaces that come into contact with food. Use SimpleCoat on any surface you want to perfect and protect, such as:

  • Kitchen countertops

  • Stone or wooden cutting boards

  • Serving trays

  • Baking sheets

  • Stainless steel appliances

  • Metal cookware and serving ware

We are proud to join hundreds of products across industries and around the world that refuse to compromise health and environmental safety. That is why No Hassle, No Odor, No Toxins, No Problem is more than just a slogan—it is the new standard we are setting for sealing and protecting.
